The BiOME Consulting in-house ecology team possesses extensive botanical knowledge allowing for a variety of surveys to be undertaken from habitat-based surveys such as Phase 1 surveys, to more detailed National Vegetation Classifications (NVC).
We are also capable of providing complete species inventories, hedgerow surveys, invasive species searches, grazing-pressure surveys, and more specialist Bryophyte and Pteridophyte surveys.
National Vegetation Classification & Extended Phase 1
BiOME Consulting possesses extensive experience of all standard habitat and botanical survey methods.
We offer NVC classification and Phase 1 surveys to assess habitat types and vegetative communities. An initial Phase 1 survey generally informs, often as part of a PEA, the requirement for further ecological surveys. We can also complete hedgerow surveys and bespoke habitat surveys.
